India, Aug. 14 -- A 23-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide at her home in Moshi-Borhadewadi on Wednesday evening, weeks after her husband was among nine workers killed in the Moshi waste-depot collapse, police said on Thursday.

Her husband was killed on July 8 when a massive heap of waste collapsed onto an administrative building at the Moshi waste-to-energy project, trapping workers beneath the debris.

Police said the woman had been distressed following her husband's death. Her maternal relatives, however, alleged that she was facing harassment from her in-laws and sought an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
