India, Sept. 7 -- Podcast host Amanda Hirsch has apologised after drawing widespread criticism for promoting a betting platform using the outcome of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial in a sponsored social media post.

The Not Skinny But Not Fat host admitted she made a "completely insensitive" decision after users accused her of trivialising a case involving the deaths of three children.

Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in the case against Lindsay Clancy. Jurors deliberated for seven days but could not unanimously decide whether Clancy was criminally responsible for killing her three children in January 2023. Prosecutors can retry the case.
