India, Aug. 13 -- A Mumbai-based biker was killed on Wednesday morning after her motorcycle was hit by an unidentified heavy vehicle in Chhattisgarh's Balod district, police said. The victim was identified as Riddhi Thakkar. Thakkar was part of a 23-member biking group that was travelling to the Bastar region. She was 24 at the time of her death.

The accident took place around 6 am at Markatola Ghat under Purur police station limits on National Highway 30, roughly 100 km from state capital Raipur.
