India, Aug. 13 -- Prichard Colon, the Puerto Rican boxer who suffered a devastating brain injury during his 2015 bout with Terrel Williams, died Thursday at the age of 33.

Colon collapsed after the fight and was later diagnosed with a severe brain bleed that left him with permanent neurological injuries.

For Williams, the fight became a defining and deeply painful moment in his life. Although he expressed remorse immediately after the bout, he continued to face criticism and abuse for years over the incident that changed Colon's life.

Williams entered the fight in Fairfax, Virginia, with an undefeated record and moved to 15-0 after the bout. However, the tragedy left him emotionally shaken, and he stepped away from boxing for two years...
