India, Aug. 1 -- Everyone has their favourite pillow, and it is not something one readily wishes to change. However, it might actually be beneficial to do so at regular intervals, according to Dr Kunal Sood. Taking to Instagram on July 31, he explained why that is the case and how often one should consider the change.

Dr Sood pointed out that the pillow one sleeps on does a lot more than simply protecting the head.

"It slowly collects everything you leave behind while you're sleeping," he stated. "Over time, pillows can accumulate sweat, body oil, dead skin cells, and dust mites."
