India, July 13 -- Senator Lindsey Graham, a prominent supporter of President Donald Trump in Congress who journeyed worldwide to promote a more assertive U.S. foreign policy, has passed away due to a tear in his aorta, according to preliminary medical examiner's finding.

The rupture in the inner layer of the aorta, known as an aortic dissection, was associated with the hardening of Graham's arteries. The official cause of death will be revealed following toxicological and microscopic examinations.
