India, Aug. 8 -- WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is scheduled to undergo brain surgery, with the date now confirmed. On his recent episode of the "Grilling with JR" podcast, Ross announced that he is set to have a shunt inserted on August 12.
He mentioned that he has been informed he will likely only need to stay in the hospital for one day.
However, Ross, who serves as an announcer for AEW, acknowledged that with his contract with the organization expiring this month, he may have already officiated his final match.
He remains optimistic about the possibility of returning to work and has expressed his desire to attend AEW's "All In" event on August 30 at Wembley Stadium in London, as reported by SB Nation.
