India, Aug. 22 -- An accused wanted by Faridkot Police ran over a coconut seller with a speeding Mahindra Thar in the Sunder Nagar area of Punjab's Ludhiana on Thursday, leaving the man seriously injured.

The incident, which took place on August 20, came to light after a video of the dramatic chase and collision surfaced. The Faridkot STF reportedly received information about the presence of the wanted accused, Gurpreet Singh, in Ludhiana and launched a search operation.

According to the police, three STF vehicles were pursuing Gurpreet's Thar when he tried to evade the team by speeding through the narrow and congested roads of Sunder Nagar.
