Praia, May 7 -- PraiaThree cruise ship passengers with suspected hantavirus infections were flown to the Netherlands for treatment Wednesday. Three people have died, and WHO says there are five confirmed cases. About 150 people are isolating aboard the ship near Cape Verde.
The Argentine government's leading hypothesis is that a couple contracted the virus during a bird-watching outing before boarding. The WHO said the risk to the global population from the outbreak is low, with its top epidemic expert telling AP, "This is not the next Covid." P15
