India, April 3 -- Delhi residents witnessed cloudy skies on Friday, with a dust storm sweeping across parts of the region. The city had recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8degC on April 2, 2.8 degrees above the seasonal average, while the minimum settled at 18.9degC.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorms accompanied by rain are likely on Friday night and Saturday.

The IMD has said that the unsettled conditions are likely to persist through the week, with cloudy skies expected to continue till Monday, April 6. Intermittent light rain and thunderstorms are also likely during this period.
