Vikram Kakade's rRs.r10 crore 'loan' to Jay Pawar raises eyebrows
MUMBAI:, June 5 -- NCP candidate Vikram Kakade was elected unopposed to the legislative council on Thursday, but an entry in his election affidavit is raising eyebrows, much like his candidature itself did. Under the head 'Loans and Advances to Other Persons', the affidavit lists a sum of Rs.10 crore to Jay Pawar, son of party chief and deputy chief minister Sunetra Pawar.
"It is not a loan," Kakade told the media on Thursday. It's an advance for a plot he intends to buy from Jay Pawar, said the 33-year-old Kakade, a real estate developer and former national-level shooter.
