Vijayan dismisses ed's allegations as 'Shameful'
Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 10 -- Former Keralam chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday accused the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of targeting him in its money laundering probe into the alleged CMRL bribery case by now levelling corruption allegations against him.
His remarks came a day after ED wrote to Keralam DGP, seeking an FIR against the CPI(M) politburo member, his daughter Veena T, and son-in-law PA Mohammed Riyas, among others, on charges of corruption and bribery.
Speaking at an event in Alappuzha district, Vijayan, now leader of Opposition in state assembly, termed ED's claims as "ludicrous and shameful".
