India, Aug. 9 -- Verizon customers across the United States are reporting problems with their cell service, with outage reports coming in from multiple parts of the country.

According to Downdetector's Verizon outage map, users in several states have reported service disruptions, including issues with calls and mobile connectivity. Reports have come from states including New York, Georgia, Arkansas, Illinois, New Hampshire, Texas, Florida and Pennsylvania.

Downdetector began receiving a surge of outage reports around 3:50 p.m. EDT on Saturday. By 4:10 p.m., more than 8,000 reports had been submitted. The number continued to climb, surpassing 15,000 reports by 5:20 p.m.
