India, Aug. 13 -- Verizon services appeared to be down for a number of users on Thursday, August 13. Several users complained they were unable to place calls over the network, wondering if Verizon towers were down.

At the time of writing, Downdetector, which tracks outages showed over 2,000 people facing issues.

Verizon has not issued a statement about the current problems their customers are facing. It remains unknown when the situation will be resolved. A couple of days back, on August 10, Verizon noted that an act of vandalism in Southern California had hampered services.
