Dehradun, Aug. 21 -- Four people were arrested after two groups of youths allegedly clashed and opened fire in Uttarakhand's Patel Nagar on Thursday, leaving one person injured, police said.

Police received information that youths travelling in a Swift car had opened fire in the Patel Nagar area, and the injured man, identified as Sahil, was taken to Mahant Indiresh Hospital by his associates.

A preliminary investigation, including examination of CCTV footage and questioning of eyewitnesses, revealed that the two groups had an old dispute. One group allegedly attacked members of the other with sticks and damaged their vehicle before the second group opened fire at them at two locations, police said.
