UP polls 2027: Mayawati's nephew Akash Anand to launch BSP's campaign from Hathras on August 10
India, July 29 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national convenor Akash Anand will formally launch the organisation's campaign for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections from Sadabad constituency in Hathras district on August 10, marking the beginning of an extensive statewide outreach programme aimed at energising the party cadre, particularly its youth base.
Mayawati had appointed her nephew Akash Anand as the BSP's national convenor in August 2025, making him the party's second-in-command and signalling his emergence as her political heir apparent.
