Lucknow, Aug. 12 -- : The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the creation of 1,354 regular posts for 126 newly constructed and upgraded government secondary schools set up under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram, according to an order issued by the secondary education department.

The order was issued by additional chief secretary Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma. It covers 68 government inter colleges and 58 government high schools across the state.

The sanctioned posts include 68 principals, 58 headmasters, 680 lecturers, 406 assistant teachers (LT grade) and 142 junior assistants. These posts will be distributed among 59 government inter colleges offering classes 6 to 12, nine upgraded inter colleges offering classes 11 and 12, and 58...
