PRAYAGRAJ, Aug. 22 -- In a PIL, the state government has apprised the Allahabad High court regarding the construction of a trauma centre at Motilal Nehru Medical College on MG Marg of the city.

Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal after hearing parties concerned observed, "Prayagraj is in desperate need of hospital for which this PIL is being heard".

The state submitted a timeline of 180 days for DPR approval and contractor selection for construction purposes.

The court observed, "The laxity shown by the officials of the State Government is not appreciable and this Court expects from the Principal Secretary, Planning Development, Government of U.P., Lucknow to look personally in the matter and file his personal affidavit, taking steps to short...
