India, April 3 -- Unseasonal heavy rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds on Thursday afternoon disrupted power supply in several parts of the city after trees fell and waterlogging affected electricity infrastructure, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) officials said.
According to MSEDCL, multiple extra high voltage (EHV) and high voltage lines tripped due to the storm, impacting supply across Pune and nearby areas. Power restoration work is underway on a war footing, and supply has been restored in many affected localities.
