Meerut, Sept. 2 -- The Uttar Pradesh Police has formed a special investigation team to probe the alleged circulation and storage of counterfeit currency worth Rs.17 crore at a Punjab National Bank (PNB) currency chest in Saharanpur, officials said on Tuesday. PNB suspended three officials whose roles came under suspicion during the bank's preliminary inquiry into the discovery of the fake currency last month.P8
