U.P. Beos prohibit youtubers' entry into schools; no govt order, says addl chief secy
LUCKNOW, Aug. 21 -- Basic education officers (BEOs) across multiple districts in Uttar Pradesh have issued orders prohibiting entry of outsiders, including YouTubers, and video recording inside state-run primary and upper primary schools without permission "to ensure smooth teaching and learning activities in schools".
Additional chief secretary, basic and secondary education, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, however, said no such order was issued by the state government.
While the first such directive came in Farrukhabad district on April 17, when basic education officer Vishwanath Pratap Singh issued an order barring outsiders from entering schools on April 17. In a circular, seen by HT, he accused "certain individuals or groups of individuals" ...
