Two NDMC workers killed after speeding Thar hits motorcycle in Delhi Cantonment
NEW DELHI, Sept. 4 -- A 50-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man, both employees of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), died after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding SUV in the Delhi Cantonment area on Wednesday evening, police said on Thursday. The driver of the SUV has been arrested.
Police identified the victims as Manju Devi, 50, and Sukhbir Singh, 45, residents of Dwarka, who were returning home from their office on Lodhi Road.
Deputy commissioner of police (southwest) Amit Goel said that around 5pm on Wednesday, a police personnel from the Delhi Cantonment police station noticed an accident near the IOC traffic signal and immediately informed the station.
