India, Sept. 16 -- The Faridabad Police on Wednesday said they caught two most-wanted interstate burglars after they were injured in an exchange of fire near Mawai canal in the early hours of the day.

The two, Sonu and Rahul, both residents of Mohan Garden in Delhi's Uttam Nagar, were rushed to the Badshah Khan Civil Hospital. Police said they fired on police after they were intercepted between 2.30am and 3am. "They were asked to surrender, but even after firing warning shots, the suspects kept firing at police and ran away after they fell from their motorcycle," a police officer said. The officer said police retaliated and the two got shot in their legs.
