India, April 3 -- A 26-year-old man and a 53-year-old security guard were killed in two separate road accidents in Gurugram, police said on Thursday.

Police identified the 26-year-old as Sonu, a resident of Ajabpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah. Sonu, who worked at a private firm in Manesar, was waiting for a transport at KMP Panchgaon Chowk to return home when an unidentified vehicle hit him around 11pm on Tuesday, police said.

Locals and passersby rushed him to a private hospital in Rampura, where doctors declared him dead. The body was shifted to the Gurugram mortuary in Sector 14.

According to the complaint filed by Sonu's brother Dinesh Kumar on Wednesday, the vehicle was being driven recklessly.
