Rudrapur, June 7 -- Two employees at a logistics firm were killed after a fire erupted inside a warehouse belonging to the e-commerce giant Amazon in Uttarakhand's Haldwani late on Friday, police said on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Narendra Prasad (35) from Gaulapar, and Amit Arya (25), a resident of the Panchayat Ghar area in Haldwani. City SP Manoj Katyal said both were employed with MM Logistics, a third-party firm contracted to manage the warehouse in Jeetpur Negi village. Officials said the fire department was alerted at around 11 pm. The warehouse was reportedly closed when the fire broke out.
