Hyderabad, Oct. 24 -- Two workers died of asphyxiation following an alleged gas leak at a pharmaceutical factory in Sangareddy distric of Telangana on Friday morning, police said. The incident took place at a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit at Gaddapotharam village of Jinnaram mandal. The plant manufactures active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug intermediates, and also takes up contract manufacturing services. The two deceased workers have been identified as Sudarshan and Balaji. It was not immediately known how many workers were present at the plant when the incident took place.
