India, Aug. 29 -- Two separate citizen protests will be held in Pune on Sunday to raise awareness about noise pollution during Ganeshotsav and call for more responsible celebrations.

The first protest, organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, will demand a DJ-free Ganeshotsav and urge citizens to use traditional musical instruments instead of high-volume sound systems.

As part of the campaign, a padyatra will begin at 10.30 am from Puram Chowk (Abhinav Mahavidyalaya Chowk) and proceed along Bajirao Road before concluding at Shaniwarwada. Organisers have appealed to citizens to join the march.
