India, May 26 -- US President Donald Trump has canceled plans to hold a rare Cabinet meeting at Camp David on Wednesday, shifting the gathering back to the White House as tensions surrounding ongoing Iran negotiations continue to escalate.

Earlier Tuesday, multiple reports indicated that Trump would host his entire Cabinet at the presidential retreat in Maryland in what would have been an unusual Camp David Cabinet session.

However, Trump later announced on Truth Social that the Camp David trip was being called off because of "possible bad weather conditions."

The meeting will now take place at the White House instead.
