India, Aug. 9 -- President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown is creating fresh hurdles for people seeking to maintain or obtain legal status in the US, with immigration attorneys pointing to lengthy visa renewal delays, additional marriage-based interviews and tougher scrutiny across several pathways.
The changes do not necessarily represent changes to the underlying immigration laws. Instead, lawyers interviewed by The Mirror US say the Trump administration's enforcement priorities and the way existing rules are being applied have made the system more difficult and unpredictable.
