Chandigarh, Aug. 22 -- The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Chandigarh bench, has directed Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, to allow its registrar (academics) Sat Pal Singh to continue working on the post on the same terms and conditions as his existing contractual appointment, till the authorities decide his pending request for extension.

A division bench comprising member (judicial) Ramesh Singh Thakur and member (administrative) Anjali Bhawra passed the order on Friday in an application filed by Singh, who had challenged the denial of further extension of his contractual engagement.
