India, Aug. 24 -- New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson left Monday's practice early after slipping on the team's wet and slippery practice surface, creating fresh concerns about his availability for Week 1, which is now just over two weeks away.

NFL insider Mike Kadlick reported that Henderson departed the session because of an apparent right leg or ankle injury.

Patriots insider Phil Perry provided further details, saying Henderson appeared to hurt himself during an 11-on-11 rushing play after losing his footing on the turf. The issue appeared to involve his right foot or ankle.
