India, Aug. 11 -- The total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, is likely to draw attention not only from skywatchers but also from astrology followers. A solar eclipse occurs on a New Moon day, or Amavasya, when the Sun and Moon line up, and the Moon briefly blocks the Sun's light.

In astrology, eclipses are generally viewed as periods of change, closure and introspection. However, eclipse-based predictions are not strictly part of classical Vedic astrology, and health-related claims linked to eclipses should not be treated as medical facts.
