New Delhi, May 26 -- Almost a year after its launch and just over three months before the Asian Games in Japan, SAI has called off its Target Asian Games Group (TAGG) experiment. Launched with a sole focus on Asiad disciplines and athletes, the programme has been brought under the flagship Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) "with immediate effect" as per the office order signed by SAI DG Hari Ranjan Rao. The work and discipline allocation, earlier assigned to the TAGG Division, will be redistributed between the TOPS and Training of Elite Athletes and Management Support (TEAMS) divisions.
