Top court to hear Rahul's plea in Da case on August 17
New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- The Supreme Court will hear on August 17 leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi's plea challenging a series of orders passed by the Allahabad High Court on a petition alleging that he possesses assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A bench of comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana is scheduled to take up the Congress leader's plea on Monday. He has also filed a separate transfer petition in connection with the case.
Gandhi has challenged the high court's directions issued in proceedings initiated on a petition filed by BJP worker S Vignesh Shishir, who has sought a probe against Gandhi and other members of his family.
