India, Aug. 8 -- The Senate narrowly confirmed Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to permanently lead the Justice Department under President Trump.

Blanche's nomination received approval with a 50-49 vote, where two Republican senators, Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine), joined all Democrats in opposing his confirmation.
