Kolkata, June 12 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the West Bengal Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for questioning on Thursday in connection with the signature forgery case, a party leader aware of the matter said. Earlier in the day, a bench of justice Kausik Chanda of Calcutta high court directed the TMC lawmaker to appear before the agency's office at Bhabani Bhawan by 6 pm on Thursday and cooperate in the investigation.
