Meerut, July 8 -- Three men from Delhi were killed and another critically injured on Tuesday after the speeding car they were in flipped several times and fell into a ditch along the Delhi-Dehradun highway in Meerut's Daurala area, police said, adding that preliminary probe indicates a tyre burst triggered the accident. According to the police, the Delhi-registered car was travelling at high speed when its front tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle overturned repeatedly before coming to rest in the ditch. All four occupants were rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors declared two dead on arrival; a third died during treatment.
