GORAKHPUR, Aug. 14 -- : A 15-year-old boy was killed after he was allegedly attacked during a violent clash linked to a dispute between two groups of students at Chakbandi crossing in Kushinagar district on Friday afternoon. The incident triggered tension in the area, following which additional police personnel were deployed.

The deceased was identified as Karan Sahni. According to the police, Karan had gone to the market to buy vegetables when he was allegedly surrounded by a group of youths and assaulted with lathis and sticks. The attack is believed to have been linked to an earlier dispute between two groups of students.
