Hyderabad, March 11 -- Telangana legislative assembly speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Wednesday dismissed the disqualification petitions filed against Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender and Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari, for their alleged defection from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to the Congress in 2024, people familiar with the matter said. With this, the speaker has rejected disqualification petitions against all 10 BRS MLAs, a day before he is supposed to submit a status report in the Supreme Court. Eight other MLAs had been given a clean chit earlier.
