Ludhiana, Aug. 14 -- Five days after 25-year-old Harjinder Singh, alias Harry, was gunned down in Swatantra Nagar, the autopsy has revealed that a bullet pierced through his abdomen and damaged vital organs, ultimately leading to his death. Police officials have brought an inmate from Ludhiana Central Jail on a production warrant in connection with the crime.

A three-member board comprising Dr Vishal, Dr Harpreet and Dr Mohit conducted the post-mortem examination on Thursday after police managed to persuade Harjinder's family, which had initially refused the autopsy and cremation until all the accused were arrested. The body was later cremated in the presence of police personnel.
