Kolkata, Aug. 1 -- The Special Task Force (STF) of the West Bengal police arrested a suspected member of the Kashmir-based terror group Jaish-e-Muhammed on Friday, saying that he was monitoring the movements of chief minister Suvendu Adhikari. "A 24-year-old man, identified as Hamim Mondal, an original resident of Manteswar in Birbhum district, was arrested from a rented flat at the Renaissance Township in East Burdwan district around 10 am on Friday. He was remanded in police custody for 14 days by a Burdwan court," a state police officer said, requesting anonymity.
