Shimla, Aug. 15 -- Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday announced opening of Himachal Pradesh's first Science College in Hamirpur with an estimated cost of Rs.100 crore. He said 80 kanals of land had already been identified for the college and Rs.20 crore had been released for the project.

The CM also announced the opening of an Allied and Healthcare College in Hamirpur. In addition, he said an AIIMS-level Ayurvedic institute would be established in the district on 74 acres of land. He was presiding over the annual prize distribution function at government college, Hamirpur, where he felicitated students who excelled in various fields.
