India, Dec. 1 -- Of the many measures that can be taken to lose weight - dieting, exercise, fasting - sleep regulation seems most unlikely. However, according to a study published on the National Library of Medicine, there is a bidirectional link between lack of proper sleep and weight gain.

The study was conducted by Evangelia Papatriantafyllou, Dimitris Efthymiou, Evangelos Zoumbaneas, Codruta Alina Popescu, and Emilia Vassilopoulou. It looked at how the lack of enough good quality sleep affects eating habits, metabolism, hormonal balance, and weight loss measures.
