State launches property home registration facility for senior citizens
India, Aug. 14 -- Revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Thursday launched a home-visit facility for property and document registration. This enables elderly citizens and people with medical conditions who cannot visit sub-registrar offices to complete registration formalities from their residences.
The facility is one of two citizen-centric initiatives the Maharashtra revenue department launched to make property and document registration more accessible and convenient. The second initiative, e-Pramaan, will allow citizens to obtain certified copies of registered documents, Schedule II documents and marriage certificates online.
