New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- Several states on Friday reported more people missing in flood-hit Nepal, with many able to get information about the safety of those stranded. A Maharashtra government official said 404 people from the state are stranded but confirmed safe in various parts of Nepal. Besides, 105 people have returned to India. West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari said two of the 39 reported missing have been found to be safe, and efforts were underway to trace the rest. Keralam chief minister VD Satheesan said that eight people, including four based in Australia, were stranded in Nepal and are yet to be contacted.
