New Delhi/Doha, April 11 -- British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has expressed frustration over rising oil and other costs linked to the Iran war, drawing parallels between the actions of US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"I'm fed up with the fact that families across the country see their bills go up and down on energy, businesses' bills go up and down on energy, because of the actions of Putin or Trump," he said. In an interview with ITV News, Starmer said that despite the ceasefire in West Asia, the impact of the crisis is "clear to see".
The British PM emphasised the need for increased energy resilience and independence, warning that people in his country will be "paying for the war".
