Bhopal, June 7 -- A 22-year-old man and his father were arrested on Saturday in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district in connection with the assault of a 17-year-old girl, said police, adding that three others were still absconding.
Those arrested were Dharmendra Parihar and his father Ajab Singh Parihar. "Dharmendra entered her house on Friday when she was alone. He attacked her with an axe. The girl ran to the rooftop to save herself, but he used a scarf to try to strangle her by dangling her off the rooftop," said sub-divisional police officer Prashant Sharma.
