SPPU orders probe into allegation of fake degree sold for rRs.r3 lakh
India, July 29 -- Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has constituted a fact-finding committee after receiving a complaint alleging that a varsity employee offered to procure a fake Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree for Rs.3 lakh without the candidate having to secure admission or appear for examinations.
The complaint names Ramesh Mukhekar, an employee in the university's finance and accounts department, and alleges that he demanded Rs.3 lakh to arrange the degree for the son of a rickshaw driver.
