NEW DELHI, July 8 -- A 20-year-old man, reportedly speeding in a Mercedes sedan, crashed into a scooter near the Jahangirpuri bus stand on the Outer Ring Road early Sunday, leading to the death of the rider. While he reportedly fled the spot immediately, he was chased and tracked by a passerby, who informed the police about the registration number of the car, subsequently leading to the driver's arrest, police said. As per an initial probe by the police, the insurance of the car, bearing a Haryana registration number, expired last year and was being driven unchecked.
