India, Aug. 21 -- A contractual employee of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and his friend were killed after a speeding car hit their motorcycle from behind near Lalji Hospital in Sector 12 of Haryana's Gurugram, police said on Friday.

The accused driver of the speeding car was apprehended by the bystanders who then handed him over to the police, news agency PTI reported.

The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Rohit Kumar and his friend Abhishek Kumar, 27.

The duo were heading towards Old Railway Road around 1:00 am on Friday when a speeding car rammed into their motorcycle. They were rushed to a private hospital where doctors declared them brought dead, according to the police.
